'Tis the Season

"One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set my high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord." Psalm 27:4-6

As you approach this holiday season I pray you can set aside the business and stress that fills the days and replace it with all things Jesus. On earth we are to seek one thing and one thing only- the presence of the Lord. The hustle and bustle can deafen our spiritual ears and blind our spiritual eyes. So let it be your prayer to not walk into this time of year feeling defeated by the stress to come but with your head held high because your one true desire is here. Through the blood of Jesus the Holy Spirit's presence graces us time and time again. In his dwelling, bring due praise to his name. As you roll the dough, stuff the turkey, and drop the dumplings rest in his favor.
